GETTING STARTED! Where do I even begin? It's been a really long week. Hectic even if I do say so myself. My team and I at SideHustle.ng were given a project for our bootcamp on the 5th of December 2022, basically last week Monday. Our task was to; and I put in quote " Choose a brand among the following and create a Digital Marketing Plan and Content Calendar for a brand's social media platforms for December. It must include a newsletter twice a week, and a blog post thrice a week. Kuda Cowrywise Safeboda " That right there people, was what we were meant to do. Easy right? not so much! What do you think happens when you give a couple of newbies an advanced task to solve? ……. Utter Chaos! That's what. My team didn't meet until two days later which was Wednesday. So while others had already started working, we were just introducing ourselves. At the end though, it all turned out splendidly.

THE PROCESS; Choosing the brand: After finally getting together, our first issue was selecting a brand out of the three given ones. At first we were simply going to pick any but then Louis suggested we research the three fintech companies before picking one and so we did just that. I and Onyinyechi researched kuda, Tunmise and Azeezat researched cowrywise, Louis researched Safeboda while Uzoma researched more on Digital marketing plans. The rest of the team helped in other fields for example, what a content calendar should actually look like and such. After all the research, we had a vote and Cowrywise was selected. Division of tasks: Our brand had been selected, it was time for some serious work. We decided to split ourselves up into mini groups to be able to work faster and more efficiently on our project.

Louis , Tunmise and Onyinyechi were responsible for SEO (search engine optimization) , that is; increasing the website visibility organically in search engine results pages. They employed the use of sites such as keyword searcher,Ubersuggest, etcetera. Their aim was to increase customer awareness and brand awareness. That is making our brand 'Cowrywise' to be more visible to its target audience.

Susan and Emmanuel were in charge of Email marketing. Their job was to gain customer retention and awareness. To make sure we always had the attention of our audience.

Iven, Uzoma and Azeezat were our social media experts. What the aim here was to increase brand awareness across the different channels available to them.

STRENGTHS OF THE TEAM; Despite the late gathering of my team, it turned out that we had one of the best cooperation and coordination I have ever seen. Be it the coming together for meetings, or the sense of commitment to duty, it was all there. A truly thrilling experience.
